Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the AE4 Innovation Program platform (operated by Mantum Tech) handles information. When the Service is used in a school setting, the school directs our processing of student data, and the school is responsible for providing required notices and obtaining any consents (including under FERPA and COPPA).
Information we handle
Account information — name, email address, and a password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider).
Profile information — demographic and program fields provided by the student or school, such as date of birth, state, school, and grade or year level.
Learning activity — curricula, enrollments, quiz submissions, AI mastery-chat transcripts, competency levels and scores, and content you create on project boards.
How we use information
We use information solely to provide and improve the Service: to deliver learning, generate curricula, assess and grade work, track progress and competencies, and enable class collaboration. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or to build advertising profiles.
AI processing
To generate curricula and assess responses, relevant inputs are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) through its API. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. Curricula are generated without student names so that content can be shared and reused safely.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers that process data on our behalf to run the Service: Supabase (database, authentication, and data hosting), Anthropic (AI processing), and Railway (application hosting). They are bound to use data only to provide their services to us.
Student data (FERPA / COPPA)
When used in a school setting, student personal information is handled as directed by the school. We act as a service provider/processor on the school’s behalf. We do not use student data for our own purposes beyond operating the Service, do not sell it, and do not use it for targeted advertising.
Security
We protect information with per-user and per-class data isolation, server-side enforcement of grades and permissions, encryption in transit, and data minimization. See our Data Security overview for details.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service or as directed by the school. The school may request access to, correction of, or deletion of student records.
Your choices & rights
Students and guardians should direct requests to access, correct, or delete student data to their school, which can coordinate with us to fulfill them.
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the “Last updated” date above.
